Mike, Dallas & Lisa

When I think of Dallas, the phrase "it's a small world" comes to mind. Dallas and I have crossed paths in our lives quite a few times and I was thrilled when she asked me to do family pictures for her. I have been so lucky to be invited to my client's homes to check out all of the new and fun spots they have to offer for shooting great family pics. We met at her parents house and they had tons of great places for us to go. Lisa, I hope your poor ankles survived our hike in the bush. I'm jealous I didn't stay longer to take part in your slip and slide! Here are a few of my favorites from our fun day:

Cody and Charlotte Engagement

I have known Charlotte for awhile now and I still remember the day she texted me to tell me Cody proposed to her. When she contacted me to do these photos for her she told me that Cody really wanted to do them at his parents house. I am always up for new locations so I followed them out there, and let me tell you I was in heaven! The house was on a cliff overlooking the river valley. It was absolutely stunning.

Thank you Cody for being up for anything and being so excited for this shoot and Charlotte I hope you got all the burrs out of your clothes!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I can't wait for your wedding this June!!

Shawn & Shannon

I met up with this awesome family on Sunday. Their little girl was so happy and always smiling, it was so easy to work with her! Thank you Shawn and Shannon for trusting me to climb trees and letting me dress up your sweet little girl in my pumpkin tutu! I had so much fun with this family and I can only hope that once I have kids they are as happy and easy going as Sierra. Some of my favs from that session:

Damien & Sara

When Sara asked me to do family pictures for her she told me she had a spot in mind.... so I followed her and Damien out to the country and we just started shooting. I had so much fun with their family and they were up for anything! We even drove through the river because it looked better from the other side. Thank goodness we had Damien's truck because there is no way my car would have made it through. Here is a sneak peek:

Ada Jean

Meet my new niece Ada Jean. This baby has a STORY! She decided she didn't want to wait for the hospital and she was born on the side of the highway on the way into town. Her brave daddy delivered her and her super hero mommy acted like it was no big deal. But she is a big deal. She's adorable and such a good baby. She was so good for this session, she pretty much let me do whatever I wanted which was fantastic. I'll probably post more pics than normal, but who can resist an adorable baby, right?

Sylvan Lake Engagement Session

This fantastic couple contacted me just last week to ask about an engagement session. We planned to meet on Sunday, and the second I drove into Sylvan it started to rain.... we tried to brave the weather on the beach but it was just too miserable! Thank goodness we had a back up plan and we were able to go to a family member's BEAUTIFUL yard which was protected from the wind. The weather stayed perfect for us until we were finished and on my way home it started to POUR!! Perfect timing!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy!

Tim & Malanie

I had so much with this family on Saturday... partly because they are my family! Let me tell you, it is VERY difficult getting three kids to look at the camera at once, but I managed to get some great shots and let the kids run and play in between the "serious" shots to get some energy out. Malanie, I am so happy to have been able to give you family pictures that included Nathan! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!
